Times for the School Day
As most of our pupils come in to school on transport provided by the Local Authority and some live quite a distance from the school, pupils are supervised in school at any time from 8.30am.
Pupils go into class groups | 8:50am |
Break time | 10:10am to 10:30am |
Lunch time | 12:00noon to 1:00pm |
End of the school day | 3:00pm |
Pupils who are staying for extended day or overnight are collected from the hall at 3.00pm and go into the residential department.
Phonics & Reading Schemes
Ash Field Academy uses Phonic schemes provided by Ruth Miskin .
The school is currently researching reading schemes as part of the reading priority. Pupils are currently using individualised approaches to support the development of reading.
