Global Connection and Collaboration
Every year our academy welcomes colleagues from all over the world to collaborate, learn together and share best practice to ensure the very best outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs.
We have welcomed educational, health and social care colleagues from Italy, France, Romania, New Zealand, India and Indonesia. This year we will also welcome visitors from Norway and Japan.
Visits can range from a couple of hours to a full day. Visits include a presentation about our school, a tour of the school and depending on your request visits to classroom and meetings with or training from our staff including school leaders.
We believe every child is entitled to a great education. If you are interested in visiting Ash Field with an international delegation please don't hesitate to contact us for an initial conversation. We can adapt our offer to what you require - from a 2 hour visit to a whole day.
Looking forward to meeting you at Ash Field!
We support Unicef's 'The Convention on the Rights of the Child' as it states:
23. Children with disabilities
Every child with a disability should enjoy the best possible life in society. Governments should remove all obstacles for children with disabilities to become independent and to participate actively in the community.
28. Access to education
Every child has the right to an education. Primary education should be free. Secondary and higher education should be available to every child. Children should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level possible. Discipline in schools should respect children’s rights and never use violence.
On the 21st February 2024 we welcomed students (Physio, Nursing and OT) and colleagues from Hokkaido Bunkyo University Japan. We look forward to working with you in the future.
