School to School Support
Our Inclusion and SEND Hub and partners in our Hub continue to develop a wide range of in-school support that can be delivered in flexible and bespoke ways such as inputs to staff meetings, INSET days, in-school meetings, shared events with other schools (to keep costs down) or coaching for individual members of staff.
We have developed good capacity to support this work and now have a large number of:
Specialist Practitioners, former Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) SEND – supporting middle leadership development; curriculum development and teaching and learning
Evidence Lead of Education - supporting action research in schools
Experienced SEND Leaders and SEND reviewers - supporting whole school improvement priorities and SEND and Inclusion leadership working with SENDCo's and Senior Leaders
We are aware how important it is for you to feel comfortable and confident with those colleagues offering support. Please be assured they all have been through a rigorous application process and have been trained in coaching and school improvement skills including Whole School SEND Reviewer training and/or Challenge Partners Reviewer Training. We adhere to the key principles as outlined in 'The Principles of Effective School-to-School Peer Review' - September 2019
The Principles of Effective School-to-School Peer Review
Colleagues are serving practitioners from good and outstanding schools in a range of contexts in both the city and the county. They face similar daily challenges to yours and all have a clear focus of ensuring the children get the very best opportunities to succeed in learning, whatever their starting point.
Please give us a call if you would like to discuss your school to school support request, we are here to help and support. We work closely with other local and regional Teaching School Hubs so if we feel we can't support your request we will be happy to refer you on.
