Monday, 1st June 2020
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and our pupils' medical vulnerabilities, Ash Field Academy is unable to host any volunteers or placement students till Monday, 2nd November 2020 earliest.
We will review the Volunteer and Placement Programme offer early September 2020 following the latest Government Guidelines at that time.
We would ask any existing placement schools / colleges to contact Ash Field Academy on firstname.lastname@example.org if they have any questions or need support. Ash Field Teaching Alliance is able to provide SEND workshops and training for your pupils and students in the meantime.

The sessions run from 9.30am – 12:30pm (please see below and our registration form for dates).
At your introductory session you will be given important information about the Academy including Health & Safety and Child Protection. You will also be taken on a tour of the Academy. Towards the end of the session you will have a short 1:1 discussion with a member of the Ash Field Team. We will also ask to see your current DBS (CRB).
To request a place at one of our introductory day please click here or on the image below to complete a registration form and email it to . You will receive an email confirming your attendance.
Where possible we aim to reply within 5 working days (term time). Please note the admin department is not open during school holidays.
After the introductory day you will receive an email from Ash Field Academy to confirm whether or not a place is available. If you are offered a position and have applied for a DBS through Ash Field Academy we will ask you to contact us once you have received your DBS. On receipt of this information we will confirm the arrangements of your placement including start date and time with you.
All volunteer placements are subject to receipt of a satisfactory reference.
A reference from a previous or present employer or from someone you work for as part of a volunteer placement is preferable.
