Monday, 1st June 2020
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and our pupils' medical vulnerabilities, Ash Field Academy is unable to welcome any visitors for school to school support until Monday, 2nd November 2020 earliest. This will be reviewed early September 2020 following the latest Government Guidelines at that time.

Ellen Croft - Vice Principal
We very much welcome visitors from all over the world to our school. We believe by collaborating and working together we can make the greatest difference to the lives and outcomes of our children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Due to an increase of requests for visits and to minimize impact on our quality of provision we have 6 ‘Open Days’ for visitors who would like to observe lessons or perhaps have a meeting with a member of staff. This can be a full day or part of a day.
We are passionate about our work and about working together however to minimise impact on our own school’s resources we might need to charge a fee to cover our costs. This will all depend on whether we need to provide cover for our staff, if we need to provide CPLD and on how many members of staff are visiting us. We promise to keep this charge to a minimum as we want to reach out to as many people as possible.
Pre-visit form: Before you visit you will be asked to complete a school-to-school support form (the form can be downloaded at the bottom of this webpage). This form will capture your key focus for support i.e. assessment, and what you would like to do during your day i.e. observe teaching in the green (SLD) pathway – speak to SLD Pathway Leader to discuss assessment. We will try our best to meet your needs as much as we can. You will also need to confirm you have read the DfE privacy notice (which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page)
Lunch – Lunch will not be provided during your visit.
Parking – Due to very limited parking spaces visitors will be unable to park on site. You will need to park in our surrounding neighbourhood or park at the ‘pay and display’ carpark on the General Hospital site. Rates are depending on duration of stay – cash only.
Cancellations: Much work goes into preparing for visits so please ensure you give us ample notice (5 working days) if you are unable to attend the Open Day.
Contact: Please contact both Ellen Croft (Vice Principal) email@example.com and Sian Holliday (Teaching School Co-ordinator) firstname.lastname@example.org with your request. One of us will contact you as soon as possible but do remind us if you haven’t heard anything back within 5 working days.
