School Priorities

Due to the current global situation with coronavirus, we recognise that significant change would not be conducive to effective improvement work and therefore not in the long term interests of the pupils.   Therefore, our focus this term will be on recovery. This will include pupil, parent and staff well-being and a curriculum to support pupils returning to school and being ready to learn.

We will then ensure time is given to fully completing the 2019-20 priorities (above).

However, we have identified our next set of priority areas:

  • Parent engagement (both our communication with parents and in ensuring those who wish to are able to contribute more fully)
  • Pedagogy of mathematics and reading
  • Staff well-being (continued as planned)
  • Maximising progress through a review of timetabling (whole school / group / individual sessions) and staffing levels throughout the day
